I personally believe that privacy is not a “configuration option” but a fundamental right.
While others agressively monetize users’ habits and routines, this website and its applications, like Mind Focus, have been designed under the principle of Total Privacy.
The reason is simple: It’s what I want for myself, so it’s what I provide to others.
1. No accounts, subscriptions, or data collection of any kind
You don’t need to create an account to use Mind Focus or this website. I don’t ask for your email, your name, or any other personal information of any kind.
There are no servers storing your history or any other information. The application operates entirely offline.
2. Your data is yours and it’s only stored locally
Everything that happens in Mind Focus stays in Mind Focus. Your work sessions, streaks, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device.
- No Tracking: No third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Facebook SDK) are used.
- No Data Selling: Since no data is collected, it is technically impossible to sell or share it with advertisers or other dubious entities.
You can verify this for yourself using open-source apps like TrackerControl, where you will see that Mind Focus has exactly zero tracking libraries (and by the way, you can check the enormous amount that other apps usually have).
3. Total Control on your part
You are the sole owner of your information, and the app includes native tools so you can:
- Export: Create backups of your data in a JSON file to save wherever you choose (Google Drive, local files, etc.).
- Import: Restore your data on a new device without without relying on any third party.
- Delete: Wipe all your information from the app with a single tap.
4. Minimal app Permissions
The application requests the minimum permissions necessary to work as intended and, as you will see, there are barely two:
- Audio: To generate isochronic tones and brown noise in real-time.
- Storage: To allow you to save your backups.
And that’s it, seriously.
5. Changes to this Policy
This policy is so simple that it’s unlikely to change, because it’s part of what I firmly believe in.
In any case, if a feature is added in the future that requires a new permission, it will be communicated transparently within the app itself, not through intrusive emails or twenty-thousand-word documents.
Everything is developed in the EU and therefore falls under the GDPR. Well, not really, since there are no data collection of any kind and the law does not really applies, but you know what I mean.
6. Privacy of this website
This page doesn’t use trackers either, nor collects any kind of analytics or puts those annoying cookies that claim to care about your privacy.
If they truly did, they wouldn’t use them.
